Hi
I am used to folders being listed before files in the file manager. By default this is not enabled in Files. When I open the preferences window to make changes, there are no close/minimise/maximise buttons. So I am not able to save the choices. How can I get around this issue?

Got a workaround through dconf editor. preferences are available under org.gnome.nautilus.

You should be able to right click the top of the window in order to close it - and closing it *should* store any changes in settings that you have made.
Can you give that a go?

Tried that first. It doesn't work. The window closes but the value is not saved.

Ah - ok - that looks like a bug.
If you change values in the drop down boxes - it does keep those.
would you mind filing a bug for the check box issue?
